A Quick Love Story played to a very appreciative audience of about 250 people  which included former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and former Lord Mayor of Sydney Lucy Turnbull at the New York screening of Australian Short Film Today on 14 May at the Asia Society, and was voted Runner-Up in the Audience Award.

To see my film on a big screen, in a full cinema with such a great audience was a truly fantastic experience.

But none of it would have been possible without the support of Chris and Francesca Beale, who, via their foundation, underwrote and organised the event, the good people from Australian Short Film Today, the very friendly staff at the Asia Society, and of course all the New Yorkers, many of them Aussies, who braved a cold and wet night to come along and see the show.

And of course, my exceptionally talented cast and crew for their fantastic individual contributions, without which I would only have a script and not a film.
